[ASES2010] Welcome party on Nov.28

To Wish for the Success of ASES2010, a Welcome Party, Filled with Joyous Laughter, was hosted on-Site at the Venue.

On November 28th, a day before The 2nd Asian Social Entrepreneurs Summit (ASES 2010), the guests, (speakers) from all over Asia, checked in at the Seoul KyoYuk MunHwa HoeKwan (the TEMF Hotel) in Yangjae Dong where the summit took place.

They all gathered together at 6 o’clock that evening, to attend the Welcome Party. The party started with dinner; and was followed by a Workshop to “break the ice” and to help participants feel comfortable and get to know each other through fun and informal contact.

About 40 people attended the party in BiPa Hall of the TEMF Hotel, and had an enjoyable and relaxing time at the dinner and the Workshop. After an hour of banquet, Kwang-Taek Lee, the Executive Director of the “Work Together Foundation”, made the ‘Welcome Speech”, and Nae-Young Kang, a member of the Institute of Grassroots Autonomous Rresearch E-um, held a Communications Design Workshop.

Guests from all the different cultures & countries appeared shy and hesitant at first; but soon got along like a house on fire, chatting freely during the banquet.

During the Workshop that followed, they enjoyed the varied program: relaxing their body through friendly physical contact, searching for others by touch with their eyes closed, drawing portraits of each other, and forming Groups to describe Asia in their own way. Even though still fatigued and jet-lagged from their journeys, all the guests joined in the Welcome Party with pleasure. This informal beginning and opportunity for close acquaintance among the guests, organizers and volunteers, seemed to foreshadow a promising future for  ASES2010.
